Both liberals and conservatives are guilty of one thing. They participate in echo chambers. Only interacting or consuming media channels that aligns with their beliefs and thoughts. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that. You watch what you like. But that makes us lost the ability and the patience to listen to the other side.
A lot of the artists you mention (those still living) now seem to me to have been what has been termed 'controlled oposition'. How many of them do you see speaking out now when we really need them? Just a thought to consider among many.
